Prarna

It is notable that in dreams our visions are 'more real' than those we can make by deliberate visualization. Try to visualize a rose and you may feel it to be a poor similitude, but dream the same rose and it will be as good, clear, and strong as if it were seen Or, in the hypnotic state, when there is the suggestion of a rose, the vision will have all the qualities of the real article for sight, touch, and smell. The theory is thus tenable that the mental residues in the 'sub conscious' are as good in sense-qualities as the sense-ac-, pertinence ever was. There is no fading there.

We may also recognize that fundamentally our seeing, hearing, etc., are even now beyond the organs of sight, etc.

Coming now to the 'vitality' (prarna), we recognize that there is something in the body that gives quality to sensations and to our actions. Two things are involved in this. One is the aliveness of the sense-organs. The other is the attentiveness of the consciousness. Both are improving by the schooling method of 'one thing at a time', and thus there is an added 'vitality' of living when they are in harmony.
